We are looking for an Associate Lawyer with at least two years of direct experience in immigration and refugee matters.
The role requires managing a diverse and high-volume caseload, including refugee claims, sponsorships, and inadmissibility issues. Candidates with an established client base are especially encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients before the IRB and Federal Court
- Prepare H&C; applications, sponsorships, and appeals
- Conduct legal research and draft detailed submissions
- Communicate with clients, interpreters, and government officials
- Manage and bill Legal Aid Ontario certificates
Requirements:
- Licensed with the Law Society of Ontario
- Minimum of 2 years in immigration/refugee law
- Willingness to join Ontario Immigration roster
- Strong skills in legal drafting and client communication
- Knowledge of IRPA and procedural fairness principles
