About the Role:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Automotive Painter prepares, primes, and paints parts and complete vehicles on the production floor. The role works with a variety of substrates, including aluminum, steel, and plastic.
If you like to work with your hands and have expertise in automotive paint, you may be the candidate we are looking for to join our growing workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Paint preparation; including the hanging of parts, sanding, masking, priming (epoxy primer).
- Painting of parts on a variety of substrates including aluminum, steel and plastic.
- Perform spot repairs on both used and new chassis.
- Paint complete vehicles on both used and new chassis.
- Complete basic bodywork repairs, including finishing filler applications.
Qualifications & Skills: · Proficiency in automotive painting and basic bodywork techniques.
- Ability to work with different substrates (aluminum, steel, plastic).
· Relevant certificates, licences, memberships, or courses are not required but would be considered an asset.
- Be able to review work orders and discuss work with the department.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with team members.
- Have solid interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach to problem solving.
Remuneration: $22.50 to $30 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Job Type: Full-time, permanent, indoors, modern factory.
