Blue Ocean Building Materials supplies a wide range of building materials, construction products, and home improvement supplies. We are looking for a motivated and customer-oriented team member to support our social media marketing, customer acquisition, and in-store sales operations.

No prior experience in building materials is required. We provide product training and hands-on guidance to help you learn our products, understand customer needs, and develop your sales skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Marketing & Lead Generation

- Create and publish product posts, photos, videos, and promotions on social media platforms, including Facebook, Facebook Marketplace, RED (Xiaohongshu), TikTok, and other relevant channels.
- Attract potential customers by showcasing our products, pricing, and promotions online.
- Respond to customer inquiries, provide basic product information, and encourage customers to visit our showroom or make a purchase.
- Follow up with potential customers and help convert online inquiries into sales.
- Learn and follow company guidelines for product information, pricing, photos, and customer communications.

2. In-Store Sales & Customer Service

- Welcome walk-in customers and contractors with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable building materials based on their projects and budgets.
- Learn product specifications, sizes, colours, pricing, availability, and basic applications.
- Assist customers in locating products, checking prices and inventory, and preparing purchases.
- Build positive customer relationships and provide attentive service throughout the sales process.

3. Sales Transactions & Order Processing

- Prepare customer estimates, invoices,



and sales receipts using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Assist with payment processing and ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
- Follow the company's procedures for customer information, pricing, inventory, and payment records.
- Have sales documents reviewed by a supervisor when required.

4. Showroom & Daily Operations

- Maintain an organized and presentable showroom and product display area.
- Assist with sample organization, restocking displays, cleaning tiles, and other routine showroom tasks.
- Support customers and contractors with product samples and basic product inquiries.
- Work collaboratively with team members to support daily sales and store operations.

Product training will be provided to help you become familiar with our inventory, product features, pricing, and common customer questions.

Qualifications

- Strong communication and customer service skills.




- Comfortable using social media platforms and willing to create product-related content.
- Interest in sales, marketing, construction, renovation, or home improvement.
- Willingness to learn product knowledge and develop practical sales skills.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn software such as QuickBooks Online.
- Reliable, organized, proactive, and attentive to detail.
- Able to communicate professionally with customers and contractors.
- Previous experience in retail sales, social media marketing, customer service, or building materials is an asset, but not required.
- English communication skills are required for customer service; Chinese language skills are an asset.

Compensation & Training
- 5% sales commission on pre-tax sales.
- Product knowledge and on-the-job training provided.
- Training on social media posting, customer inquiries, and sales procedures.
- Hands-on guidance in customer service, quotations, invoicing, and payment processing.
- Chance to develop sales and marketing skills in the building materials industry.
