We are seeking an experienced Bus Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair buses and related components. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working independently or as part of a team to ensure vehicles are operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and preventative servicing on buses.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and engine-related issues.

- Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and other vehicle components.

- Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical defects and potential safety concerns.

- Perform diagnostic testing and use appropriate repair tools and equipment.

- Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

- Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.

- Keep the workshop and work area clean, organized, and secure.

- Communicate repair findings and recommendations to supervisors and team members.

- Follow all applicable workplace safety procedures and regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Previous experience as a bus mechanic, heavy-duty mechanic, or commercial vehicle technician.





- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, vehicle systems, and mechanical repairs.

- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.

- Experience using diagnostic tools, shop equipment, and hand tools.

- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.

- Valid driver's licence; a commercial driver's licence is an asset.

- Heavy-duty mechanic certification or relevant trade qualifications are preferred. Apprentices may be considered based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
