The Business Banking Support

Representative is accountable to provide centralized support/assistance to the Delivery network dealing with business account opening, account maintenance, business lending requests and the fulfillment of other business services.

Representative will be required to accurately prepare business documentation in support of the account opening process and lending fulfillment. Incumbents will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the overall delivery of Business Banking Services that could lead to other career opportunities. Provide support to the Delivery Network staff in the sale and fulfillment of all business solutions.

Communicate with external partners to support fulfillment requests for Members. Collaborative approach to working with internal partners such as Operations, CCM, Branches, Adjudication, and Risk to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of solutions for Business Members. Prepare a variety of documents related to and in support of deposit/online banking products, ensuring full legislative compliance.

Accurately fulfill business solutions in the Encore Banking system as required. Focus on the highest quality Member service, ensuring alignment with overall Meridian and Business Banking goals and objectives. Continuously search for new and better ways to process work that will enhance the Member experience and reduce the costs of providing the service or transactions.

Ensures all documentation in relation to Business lending and onboarding are completed and submitted in an accurate and timely manner in accordance and compliance with all corporate policies, procedures and legislative requirements. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and development by actively participating in learning initiatives, maintaining awareness of changing economic/marketplace influences, industry trends/data, mentorship of peers and sharing knowledge and learning.



Proactive and service-based Member contact where required.

Promote Meridian Credit

Union in your community by participating and being involved in community activities or events while demonstrating the Company values. Subject matter expert in the area of Business Account opening PNP(s). Flexible to support branch extended hours and rotation for Saturday coverage.

Background education in accounting, finance, commerce, business administration, or equivalent would be an asset. General understanding of aspects of deposit/cash management business services would be an asset. Solid business acumen coupled with a demonstrated ability to initiate action to achieve results and meet deadlines while respecting fundamental corporate values.

Ability to work independently with confidence and strong commitment to Member service. Strong personal commitment to professional development. Computer literate in a windows environment.

Experience reviewing Commercial Insurance policies would be considered an asset. Comfort learning and adopting new digital tools, with an openness to using AI-enabled technology to enhance productivity, accuracy, and the Member experience. Education, Designations, Training, and Experience ~1-3 years progressive experience in Business Banking, sales/service in a banking, finance setting or like field.

Service Orientation

Process & Sales Oriented thinking CAD $41,400.00 to $58,000 annually.

Compensation for this role is based on a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity.
