Position to begin for the School Year

An opportunity exists for a dynamic, enthusiastic leader in the role of Principal at École Connaught School. This position will allow an individual to develop their leadership style to help create an inspirational and creative work climate. A strong focus on students and their achievement, along with a passion for excellence are traits this leader will need to demonstrate. École Connaught School provides single track French Immersion educational services to about 380 students; the children served range from Kindergarten to Grade 6. The school's mission is to nurture students to become responsible citizens and lifelong learners in a caring environment, which fosters academic and personal excellence. This individual must have a strong instructional leadership background with an understanding of current and future educational practices related to French Immersion and language acquisition.



Experience teaching in a French Immersion setting, awareness of the Collaborative Response Model, knowledge of current assessment practices and directions for recent curriculum would be an asset. As this position may carry a French Immersion classroom teaching component, the ability to speak French is essential to the position.
