Mara Home and Health Services is seeking a compassionate Certified Health Care Aide (HCA) for weekend evening shifts at our Linden Woods location in Winnipeg. This vital role contributes to our mission of offering exceptional in-home health services tailored to each client's needs.

Significant: Mandatory Availability and Location Requirements

Please apply only if you meet ALL the following requirements:

- Location: Must reside within a maximum 15–20-minute driving distance of Linden Woods, Winnipeg.
- Transportation: Must have access to a reliable, working vehicle for commuting to and from the client's residence.
- Weekend Availability: Must be available to work EVERY Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM, on a weekly basis.
- Long-Term Commitment: Must be willing and able to commit to this position for more than one year.
- Certification: Must hold a recognized Health Care Aide (HCA) certificate.

Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality personal care and assistance to clients in their homes during weekend evening shifts.
- Support clients with activities of daily living,



including bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Administer medications and monitor health status as per care plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive client support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
- Uphold safety standards and promote a respectful, compassionate environment.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to client care.
- Respect client confidentiality and cultural diversity at all times.

Qualifications

- Valid certification as a Health Care Aide in Canada.
- Proven experience in private home, assisted living, home care, or nursing home settings.
- Solid patient care skills with a focus on senior and dementia care.
- Ability to work independently during weekend evening shifts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Criminal Record Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, Child Abuse Registry Check.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract preferred.
- Male preferred, but open to female applicants
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to client wellbeing.
