Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a dedicated Scissor Lift Operator to join our team at Darwin Construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and experience operating scissor lifts safely and efficiently on construction sites. As a Scissor Lift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating the scissor lift to transport materials, tools, and personnel to various work areas at elevated heights.
Qualifications + Attributes
- Good work ethic and attitude.
- Valid scissor lift operator certifications with proven experience in operating scissor lifts.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and guidelines related to aerial lifts.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate scissor lifts to lift and lower personnel and materials to designated work areas.
- Perform pre-operational checks on scissor lifts to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines when operating aerial lifts.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist in transporting materials and tools to and from elevated work areas.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, maintenance, and daily operational logs.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay informed about the latest safety regulations and best practices.
- Assist in tasks assigned by the Site Superintendent as needed.
Salary
The Scissor Lift Operator rate is $25/hour. This role is a full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week and the possibility of overtime if available.
