- Fill out required forms to be kept in your personnel file
- Must have a Alberta certified Food Handling Certificate
- Must have Alberta Level 1 Certification

Job Responsibilities / Duties

- Prepare weekly menus
- Work with Administration Team for approval
- Prepare breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks for all classrooms
- Serve meals to each classroom on time, at the appropriate temperature
- Work with staff to collect meal numbers before food preparation of each meal
- Prepare appropriate amounts of food for each classroom, with amounts served meeting Alberta guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including all food storage areas
- Make sure all thermometers are working properly
- Ensure all food items are checked for expiration dates
- Wash and sanitize all dishes
- Clean the entire kitchen and appliances throughout the day
- Remove trash and recyclables daily
- Organize and put away all groceries, food orders and non-food items
- Supervise and engage with children in daily activities to promote their physical, emotional, and social development.

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare qualified to join our team. In this role,



you will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. You will play a crucial role in their development through structured activities, meals, and supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and a passion for working with children.

Skills

- Strong background in food service, including knowledge of food safety practices.
- Experience in meal preparation and cooking for large groups.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures within a daycare or restaurant setting.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children are essential qualities.

Job Types: Full-time, Part time

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 32 per week
