My wife and I are looking for a reliable, trustworthy and detail-oriented part-time housekeeper/household assistant for our home in Cambridge.

We do not have children, so there are no childcare responsibilities. We are looking for someone who can help us stay on top of the day-to-day household work, keep our home clean and organized, and provide general household assistance when needed.

Regular responsibilities would include general house cleaning, dishes and kitchen cleanup, laundry, folding and putting clothes away, changing bedding, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming and mopping, dusting, garbage/recycling, general tidying and organization, and occasional deeper cleaning.

We also enjoy hosting family and friends and would ideally like someone who is open to occasional additional paid hours on weekends when we have gatherings at our home. These would be arranged with ample advance notice and based on your availability.

During gatherings, we may ask for help preparing the home before guests arrive, setting up food and drinks, setting and clearing the table, serving food and beverages to us and our guests, keeping the kitchen and entertaining areas tidy throughout the gathering, and helping with cleanup afterward.

These weekend hosting hours would be in addition to the regular weekly schedule and would always be paid.



We are not looking for someone to be available every weekend or on short notice. Dates and hours would be discussed and agreed upon well in advance.

We are not looking for a professional chef or formal server. We are looking for someone friendly, presentable and comfortable around guests who is happy to help us host and can take initiative where needed.

We have a small dog and a Sphynx cat, so applicants must be comfortable around pets. Occasional basic help with the pets may also be requested, although pet care is not the primary responsibility.

Our regular schedule would be approximately 8 hours per week, ideally split between two 4-hour visits. We can be reasonably flexible with the specific days and times.

Pay: $25/hour for regular hours, with any additional weekend gathering hours also paid.

We are hoping to find someone dependable, respectful of our home and privacy, and comfortable taking initiative without needing detailed instructions every visit. Ideally, we would like to develop a long-term arrangement with someone who becomes familiar with our home, routines and preferences.
