Job Summary

- We are seeking a dependable Class 1 Local Pickup and Delivery (P&D;) Driver to transport freight safely and efficiently between customer locations, terminals, and other designated sites.

- This local, hands-on role includes loading and unloading shipments, completing pickup and delivery documentation, and providing qualified service to customers.

- Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 commercial driver’s licence and meet applicable driving, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

- Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle on assigned local pickup and delivery routes.

- Pick up, transport, and deliver freight while protecting shipments from damage and maintaining accurate records.

- Load, unload, secure, and handle freight using appropriate equipment

- Complete inspections of the vehicle and equipment before, during, and after trips; report defects or safety concerns promptly.

- Follow traffic laws, hours-of-service rules, workplace safety procedures, and customer-site requirements.

- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers,



and team members regarding route progress, delivery details, and exceptions.

- Maintain required delivery records and use company systems to document pickups, deliveries, and freight condition.

- Keep the vehicle and work area clean and organized

Skills

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s licence and a safe driving record.

- Experience in commercial driving, preferably in local pickup and delivery or freight transportation.

- Must have minimum 2 years experience with verifiable references

- Familiarity with freight handling, load securement, shipping documents, and customer delivery procedures.

- Strong communication, time-management, customer-service, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to perform the physical tasks associated with freight handling, including standing, walking, and lifting within safe workplace limits.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
