Kiara Transport is a family-run trucking company seeking a dependable Class 1 driver for dry van freight transportation.

We operate across Canada, primarily in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Trips involve a maximum of one week away from home. We value secure driving, professional communication, and careful handling of our equipment.

Position details

- Full-time position based in Edmonton.
- Dry van freight on Canadian routes.
- Maximum one week away per trip.
- Mileage-based pay. We will discuss the rate during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor and dry van trailer in highway, mountain, and winter conditions.
- Complete required trip inspections and promptly report defects or maintenance concerns.
- Follow hours-of-service requirements and maintain accurate ELD records.
- Check load securement and freight documentation before departure.
- Complete bills of lading, delivery receipts,



and other trip paperwork.
- Communicate with dispatch about trip progress, delays, road conditions, and delivery issues.
- Handle equipment responsibly and communicate professionally with customers.

Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 driver’s licence.
- Ideally, at least two years of verifiable Class 1 driving experience.
- Dry van experience preferred.
- Experience driving in Western Canadian winter conditions and on BC mountain routes.
- Strong backing, docking, and inspection skills.
- Dependable communication and sound safety judgment.
- Availability for trips lasting up to one week.

Applicants should provide a résumé outlining their driving experience and routes travelled. We will request a recent driver’s abstract and employment references during screening. Pay: $3,000.00-$7,000.00 per month
