Coordinate daily surgical unit operations by organizing staff assignments based on patient acuity, census, and scope of practice Support and promote best-practice standards and evidence-based care within the surgical team Prepare staffing assignments and assist with scheduling to ensure safe, fair, and equitable nursing coverage Promote and coordinate patient and family education initiatives through the surgical team Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and patient care units to support patient transfers, bed allocation, and continuity of care Participate in on-call scheduling, committee work, and quality improvement initiatives to support safe and effective patient care Advocate for patient and family-centred care while supporting process improvement, risk management,

Applicants must reside within 125km of one of our hospital campuses or be willing to relocate prior to starting. *Hours of Work: Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday, however must be available to work shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements per the collective agreement.
