Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the shop, ensuring efficiency and safety
- Mentor and coach team members to develop their skills and improve overall performance
- Manage production schedules and resources to meet deadlines
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols
- Review and interpret manufacturing drawings to provide guidance to the team
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve when challenges arise in production
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment that promotes growth and development
- Ability to manage new product launches from initial design through to successful production, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
- Apply project management skills to coordinate multiple projects,
resources, and timelines
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement new technologies and processes
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience in a similar industry
- Proven experience in leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Red Seal Welder certification is required
- Expertise in welding stainless steel products with high precision
- Manufacturing Technologist background with relevant engineering experience is highly preferred
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
