This role exists to support continued production demand across multiple industries including automotive, defense, oil & gas, mining, and commercial manufacturing.
At Fostet Manufacturing, this position is critical to producing precision-machined components — including medium to large parts — with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and on-time delivery.

Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components
Select tooling, workholding, and machine parameters for optimal performance
Load, run, and edit CNC programs at the machine as needed
Establish offsets and verify setups prior to production
Perform first-article and in-process inspections
Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain quality
Maintain accurate setup sheets, production logs, and quality records
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve efficiency

Industrial metals used in heavy-duty applications

5+ years of CNC lathe experience in a production environment

- Solid understanding of machining principles and tooling
- Solid attention to detail and quality mindset
- Familiarity with Mazak, Fanuc, Haas, or similar controls

Experience editing G-code at the machine
Experience with prototype through high-volume production
