We offer a versatile, hybrid work experience where employees work from the office and virtually depending on the type of work they are doing and who they are working with. Responsible for assessing, underwriting, and pricing moderate to complex commercial automobile risks, including fleet and garage business, as well as new business submissions, renewals, and policy endorsements. Conducts detailed risk analysis using inspections, financial reports, and other underwriting information to make sound coverage decisions within assigned authority.

Collaborates closely with brokers to negotiate terms and conditions, provide technical underwriting expertise, and develop strong relationships that support profitable portfolio growth. Contributes to business development initiatives, participates in production meetings, mentors junior team members, and delivers exceptional customer service while maintaining underwriting profitability and portfolio performance. Re-underwriting and negotiating renewals and policy endorsements Ordering of inspections, financial reports, or other underwriting information for use in your analysis of critical risk hazards and decision making Negotiating the terms and conditions of risk acceptance with brokers in writing, by telephone, electronic mail or in person Providing technical support to brokers Mentoring and providing technical support to less experienced team members Contribute to the profitable growth of the business by identifying the underlying factors that contribute to the profitability of a risk while demonstrating the ability to constructively engage, influence and negotiate to exceed broker needs and expectations.





Make underwriting and pricing decisions on individual risks, as well as underwriting the individual risk within the context of a broker's broader portfolio of business. Be accountable for the selection and proper rating of mid-market property insurance transaction types (e.g., Minimum of 2-3 years Commercial Automobile Fleet & Garage underwriting experience Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Professional friendly and courteous in all interactions, with both customers and co-workers High degree of proficiency with English required to service customers, both internal to the company and external, across Canada. Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
