Emery Jamieson LLP seeks a solicitor with 2 to 5 years of call for its Business Law Group. You will advise owner-managed businesses, start-ups, First Nations, and lower-mid-market companies. The practice covers incorporations, reorganisations, acquisitions, commercial agreements, leases, and lender-side lending.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and review transaction documents from LOI through closing
Run diligence and legal research for actionable client advice
Deal directly with clients, counsel, lenders, and accountants
Negotiate deal terms and documents for clients
Run files and delegate to support staff appropriately
Requirements:
Two to five years of call
LL.B. or JD qualification
Active or immediately eligible Alberta Law Society membership
Exceptional analytical and reasoning skills
Microsoft 365 and document management systems familiarity
