We are hiring on a casual basis, looking for coverage for a client in Simcoe for 2 days a week from 9-5, with the possibility of including weekends. We thank all applicants, however, please do not apply if you can not accommodate these hours.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver direct patient care in diverse healthcare settings, including acute care, assisted living, and medical offices.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, focusing on pain management and symptom control.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist in case management and coordinate care for patients with complex medical needs.
- Accurately document patient information in electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
- Educate and support patients and their families regarding healthcare needs and care plans.

Experience & Qualifications

- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
- Experience in acute care, dementia care, hospice care,



or other specialized areas is an asset.
- Robust skills in medication administration and familiarity with various administration routes.
- Knowledge of pain management protocols and best practices.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and healthcare documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Requirements

- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Completion of an RPN certificate program.

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- Registered Practical Nurse license (preferred)
