We are hiring experienced Mould Maker to join our team!
L-D Tool & Die is seeking skilled and motivated Mould Makers to join our team in Stittsville, Ontario. The successful candidates will have strong hands-on experience in plastic injection mould making, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and mould assembly.
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, with overtime and weekend availability as required. Shifts may include mornings, days, evenings, or nights.
Compensation: Competitive wages based on experience
Perform preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and reassembly of plastic injection moulds and hot runner systems.
Diagnose mould issues and carry out repairs to ensure reliable performance and minimize production downtime.
Manufacture and modify mould inserts, components, fixtures, and tooling using conventional and CNC toolroom equipment, including milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.




Read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models to manufacture and modify tooling components.
Fit, assemble, troubleshoot, and test moulds to ensure proper operation and quality.
Support production teams in resolving mould-related issues and maintaining product quality.
Operate overhead cranes and other toolroom equipment safely.
Minimum 5 years of experience in plastic injection mould making and mould maintenance .
Strong knowledge of mould repair, troubleshooting, fitting, and assembly.
Familiarity with valve gate systems is an asset.
Previous injection moulding production experience is an asset.
Strong attention to detail, technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good English communication skills.
