Truck Driver 2

As one of the fastest growing cities in Canada, City of Surrey is a globally recognized leader in building vibrant, sustainable communities through technology and innovation. The Engineering Operations Division is looking to add a Truck Driver 2 to its team. This role involves operating and performing light maintenance on a tandem axle truck equipped with seasonal attachments, as well as carrying out routine construction and maintenance duties.
Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment under varying traffic and road conditions.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment, including checks of oil, fuel levels, tires, lights, lubrication, and safety operations.
Operate various truck attachments such as plows, sanders, side delivery conveyors, and water tanks.
Assist crew members in the performance of assigned duties.
Assist with maintenance tasks and respond to inquiries from the public.
Perform secure operations of a dump truck
Driving experience on air brake equipped trucks.
Valid Class 3 B.C. Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and safe driving record.
Dump truck driving experience will be considered as an asset.

Hourly Rate: $38.64 (Schedule C)
