Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Elevator Operator to ensure the safe and efficient operation of construction elevators on active job sites. This role requires a responsible individual with experience in heavy equipment operation, mechanical knowledge, and construction site safety protocols. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting construction projects by safely transporting personnel and materials to various levels of the site, maintaining equipment, and adhering to all safety standards.

Responsibilities

- Operate construction elevators safely and efficiently to transport workers, tools, and materials across different levels of the construction site.
- Conduct daily inspections of elevator equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks related to elevator operation and mechanical systems.




- Communicate effectively with construction team members regarding scheduling, safety concerns, and operational updates.
- Maintain accurate logs of elevator usage, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Experience

- Prior experience operating construction elevators or similar heavy machinery is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge encouraged
- Construction experience with a focus on safety and equipment maintenance is desirable.

This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safety and operational excellence in demanding construction environments. We are looking for reliable candidates for this position to fill full time hours. Must have a clean criminal record, be able to have a valid SCOT ticket or WHIMIS ticket and be able to complete all orientation requirements, and must have steel toe SAE approved work boots.

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
