Full-Time Brandt is currently seeking a Field Service Technician for our Laval location.

The Field Service

Technician is responsible for independently performing basic to complex diagnostics, service maintenance and repair work on customer equipment efficiently in a field environment, which could include customer shops. They are also responsible for providing quality service to customers and ensuring all issues are resolved satisfactorily and in a timely manner. Brandt is a customer driven company, privately owned and family run, strengthened by diversification and succeeding through specialization.

Operate within budgets and approvalsestablishedby the Service Manager. Achieve and uphold a quality of work metric of 98%, ensuring work is completed correctly the first time to minimize rework and enhance customer satisfaction.

Diagnose, disassemble, assemble, and repair mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems to restoreoptimalequipment performance. Conduct customer, manufacturer, and government-mandated inspections to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as fluid and filter changes, battery testing, brake system adjustments, and lubrication to prolong equipment life.

Execute advanced mechanical repairs,



including engine and transmission diagnosis, repair, or replacement, to resolve complex issues . Work within guidelines set by managers to ensure consistent and quality service delivery. Perform all service tasks assigned by the Service Manager or Service Department Foreman.

Participate in required training programs, including industry-specific technology training. Mentor and oversee apprentices to support their professional growth. Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel Must be able to meet physical demands (heavy lifting up to 50 lb, climbing, overhead lifting/postures, prolonged standing, sensory processing, fine motor control) Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred Must be committed to customer service and service excellence Competitive compensation: we offer competitive wages that recognize your skills, experience, and contributions.
