Job Summary

Our Fitness & Wellness Studio is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Exercise Therapist / Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team. This role involves leading individual and group exercise sessions, supporting members in reaching their fitness and wellness goals, and helping create a welcoming and positive studio environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, enjoys working with people, and brings fresh ideas to help grow our programs and keep members engaged.

Duties

- Plan, prepare, and lead individual and group exercise sessions on time.
- Ensure members are exercising safely, using proper techniques, and receiving appropriate modifications when needed.
- Work with clients that are following a physiotherapy program designed by our physiotherapist or healthcare partners.
- Develop and rotate monthly and Saturday group class programming to keep classes fresh and engaging.
- Follow studio procedures for cancellations, substitutions, and schedule changes.
- Develop new classes, workshops, and programs that attract current clients and keep existing members interested.
- Suggest new programs, services, and membership offerings that support studio growth.
- Support marketing efforts, including social media, referrals, promotions, and studio events.
- Promote workshops, new programs, and trial memberships to current and prospective members.
- Participate in community events, special programs, and promotional activities when requested.
- Maintain the confidentiality of member information and studio operations.
- Lead or assist with special classes, workshops, and events as requested.

Qualifications & Skills





- Education or training in Kinesiology, Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy Assistant, Fitness and Health Promotion, or a related field.
- CanFitPro Certification, or willingness to obtain it.
- Experience leading group fitness classes, individual exercise sessions, or therapeutic exercise programs.
- Good understanding of exercise techniques, body mechanics, and injury prevention.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to motivate members and adapt exercises to different fitness levels and abilities.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Creative, dependable, and willing to take initiative.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it.
- Availability to work Saturdays and participate in occasional special events.
- Compensation depends on experience and qualifications.

Position Expectations The Exercise Therapist / Physiotherapy Assistant is expected to take ownership of their assigned classes, maintain accurate attendance and progress records, and actively contribute to member satisfaction and retention. This position also plays an important role in keeping the studio clean, organized, and running efficiently. We value team members who take initiative, communicate openly, and bring new ideas that help improve our services and grow the studio.

Additional duties may be assigned based on the operational needs of the studio and the employee's qualifications.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 44.0 per week
