About the Job:

We are seeking an Experienced Arborist & Crew Leader - a highly dedicated motivated individual who can execute complex removals either by climbing, using a wide variety go equipment and using our aerial lifts. Risk assessments and consultation work. Be responsible for guiding and mentoring a junior crew while working onsite at the job or at the yard.

Must have the skills to preserve, inspect, top & shaping, crown cleaning, clearance pruning, deadwooding, rejuvenate, hedge trimming, bolting and complex removal of trees to ensure they are left in a healthy, safe and attractive condition.

Responsibilities

- Experience with tree climbing techniques and bucket truck / aerial lift operations. Be able to drive all vehicles and operate all equipment.
- Remove and rig trees. Climb in a safe competent manner.
- Experience with Pruning, Shaping, Rejuvenating, Deadwooding, Trimming and Stump Grinding.
- Installation of bolts and cables - training will be provided to according to work standards and procedures*.*
- Ability to operate and run bigger trucks - driving and backing up.
- Coordinate and manage tasks on job sites, ensuring smooth operations and secure practices.
- Fell and bucks with chainsaws safely.
- Properly maintain, inspect, operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
- Ability to push, pull and lift heavy weight, working at heights, rigging safety and harness safety principles.

Skills

- Proven experience as an arborist is critical.
- Technical proficiency in rigging techniques and equipment operation.
- Ability to operate bucket trucks safely for elevated work tasks.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to bucket operation and rigging activities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent verbal communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to equipment or project challenges.

Qualifications / Requirements:

- Candidates MUST have a current provincial valid license with a minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience attached to your driver's license and a minimum 3 years clean driver's abstract
- CSA Approved Chainsaw Steel-toed boots with steel shanks and chainsaw protection, chainsaw pants.
- Must be available to work 8 - 10 hour days in season Monday to Friday. Emergency, storm work or after regular shift hours may be required if necessary to complete the days work load*.*
- Air Brakes - Q Endorsement preferred but not required. Willingness to learn and take the test after training.
