The candidate should have proven experience and passion in cooking at a professional kitchen, preferably specialized in Spanish cuisine.

Summary

We are seeking an Experienced Cook to join our team at Tapagria Spanish Tapas Bar in Canada. This key role involves leading food service operations, ensuring high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The Cook will contribute to creating an authentic Spanish dining experience that aligns with our mission of hospitality excellence.

Responsibilities

- Oversee food station and service to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant performance.
- Work with staffs and head chef to uphold high standards of food quality, safety, and customer service.
- Coordinate food preparation and presentation to meet authentic Spanish cuisine standards.
- Clean and wash equipment and keep kitchen area organized.
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Work under the head chef to develop menus and improve service delivery.




- Understand food and operation costs.
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guest satisfaction.
- Support training initiatives for new team members to uphold company values.

Qualifications
- 3+ years proven experience in food service as a cook, preferably expertise in Spanish Cuisine.
- Experience as a senior cook/ management, coordinating junior chefs
- Buffet/ events and upscale dining experience is a plus.
- Strong and helpful team player.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation.
- Fluent English.
