We are a family-owned flower shop looking for a creative and passionate Florist to join our team. In our shop, every arrangement is made with care, and we take pride in creating a warm, welcoming experience for our customers.

In this role, you’ll design and create beautiful floral arrangements for everyday moments, special occasions, and events. We’re looking for someone with a strong eye for detail, a love for floral design, and a genuine interest in connecting with people.

As part of a close-knit team, you’ll play an significant role in maintaining our shop’s quality, creativity, and friendly atmosphere. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining artistry with hands-on work in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Duties

- Design and create floral arrangements for everyday occasions, events, and special orders
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and provide thoughtful recommendations
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service in person and over the phone
- Answer customer inquiries and help resolve any isssues in a professional manner
- Process payments and handle cash register transactions for walk-in and phone sales
- Prepare, process, and care for fresh flowers to maintain quality and longevity
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and floral storage areas

Experience





- Proven experience working as a florist in a retail flower shop (professional experience required; hobby or home-based experience will not be considered)
- Strong sense of creativity, colour, and attention to detail
- Ability to create a variety of arrangements, such as bouquets, sympathy pieces, etc.
- Comfortable working with customers and providing friendly, professional service
- Experience handling cash and using a point-of-sale (POS) system
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during holidays and peak seasons
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Highly organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a hands-on role

Hours & Availability

- Full-time, typically between 30-40 hours per week
- Additional hours may be required during busy holidays and peak seasons
- Availability to work during holidays is required

Compensation

- Pay is commensurate with experience, based on skill level, floral design experience, and previous shop work
