Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and effective Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, assist with food and beverage preparation, and ensure a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills within the food service industry.

Minimum 6 months of Beverage & Food service or restaurant experience is required; a robust focus on customer service and food safety is essential. The position involves working in a fast-paced hospitality setting, supporting the team in delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities

- Taking orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and guest satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of prep areas, workstations, and kitchen spaces in compliance with sanitation guidelines
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables or guests simultaneously during busy periods




- Support team members in various tasks such as refilling supplies or assisting with food prep as needed
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations and safety standards

Skills

- Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient order processing and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Minimum 6 months restaurant or food industry experience is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to interact clearly with guests and team members
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail during busy shifts
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to promote menu items and enhance guest satisfaction
