Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Food Expeditor to join our dynamic restaurant team. The Food Expeditor plays a vital role in ensuring that dishes are prepared, assembled, and delivered to guests efficiently and accurately. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a robust understanding of food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and hospitality environments, with a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences.

Duties

- Coordinate between the kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Verify that orders are complete, accurate, and meet quality standards before serving
- Assist in organizing and prioritizing food preparation and presentation
- Ensure all dishes are plated correctly and garnished appropriately before they leave the kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness of work stations, including wiping down surfaces and organizing utensils
- Communicate effectively with servers, chefs, and management to address any order discrepancies or issues
- Handle food handling responsibilities in compliance with food safety guidelines
- Support in restocking supplies and ensuring the kitchen area remains organized and sanitary
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed,



including portioning ingredients or assembling components

Skills

- Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, meal preparation, and food presentation techniques
- Basic cooking skills and experience with food preparation tasks
- Attention to detail for order accuracy and presentation quality
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a positive attitude
- Previous experience with cashiering or cash handling is advantageous
- Hospitality experience, including hotel or barista roles, is beneficial for guest service excellence
