Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing the structural framework of buildings, ensuring all components are accurately assembled according to blueprints and schematics. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry, concrete forming, drywall installation, and other framing-related tasks.

Candidates should have experience working with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and be capable of performing heavy lifting safely. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the successful completion of residential and commercial structures.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine framing requirements.
- Construct wall frames, floor systems, roof trusses, and other structural components using wood, steel, or concrete forms.
- Operate power tools such as saws, drills, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and assemble framing materials.
- Install siding, drywall, and perform concrete finishing as needed for various projects.
- Assist with concrete forming and restoration work to ensure structural integrity.




- Use heavy equipment safely for lifting and positioning large materials or structural elements.
- Ensure all framing work complies with safety standards and building codes.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials regularly.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters, welders, and general contractors to complete projects efficiently.

Skills

- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding construction schematics.
- Experience with concrete forming, drywall installation, siding, and restoration projects.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (hammers, chisels) and power tools (saws, drills).
- Knowledge of woodworking techniques and carpentry principles.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks consistently.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus.
- Robust understanding of construction safety protocols and building codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in measuring and cutting materials accurately.
