Cowan Insurance Group is looking for a Claims Representative to join our Claims team! Reporting to the Manager, Claims the successful candidate will be responsible for the reporting, management, and resolution of new and existing property, auto and liability claims for clients. If you are knowledgeable in the insurance industry with policies, products and customer service, we’d love to hear from you!

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the claims process, ensuring timely and professional communication Provide exceptional customer service to clients via phone queue and online reports Review policy coverage, proficiently explain the claims process and set customer expectations Have regular contact with the customer and insurer to ensure specific milestones are met throughout the claim Advocate for customers when claims issues arise, challenging the insurer on coverage decisions when necessary Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the claims management system Collaborate with internal teams, including Account Managers and service members A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in insurance, preferably with a claims and customer service background Knowledge of Personal and/or Commercial property, auto & liability policies High school diploma (or equivalent) required Ability to interpret policy wordings and explain in a transparent and concise manner to clients Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong data entry expertise CAIB or CIP designation (or working towards) would be an asset Proudly independent and Canadian-owned,
