CG25 - $24.26 - $26.71 per hour. Prepare, cook, and serve meals for the cafeteria, student residence and special functions at the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Campus. Prepare, handle and store food in compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines.

Monitor and maintain inventory of food, beverages, and supplies, assist in ordering, and ensure minimal waste through effective stock rotation and portion control. Assist in catering and special events on campus, which may include menu planning and food preparation. Perform other related duties as required to support the smooth and effective operation of the kitchen.

One-year Certificate in Commercial Cooking, or related (equivalencies to be considered). Recent, relevant industry experience in food preparation and service. Knowledge of commercial kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking methods.

Knowledge of safe operation and maintenance of commercial cooking equipment. Knowledge of food safety principles and sanitation regulations.



This position may require lifting and moving large objects including bulk food and kitchen equipment; standing for long periods throughout a typical shift; and the use of a variety of kitchen equipment requiring controlled movements.
