Etobicoke General Hospital - Full Time Security Guard Site Description: As Ontario’s largest community hospital, Osler serves a population of over 1.3 million people living in one of the fastest growing and most culturally diverse regions of Canada. Serving the residents of Brampton, Etobicoke, and surrounding communities within the Central West Local Health Integration Network. Osler’s emergency departments are among the busiest in Canada and its labor and delivery program is one of the largest in the province.

Full Time Security Guard

Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours Posting Date: Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site. Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities. Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.

Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist hospital staff as needed during crises and evacuations. Greet and assist visitors, patients, and hospital staff.

Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to hospital policies and procedures. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns. Work closely with hospital staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved.

Ensure that hospital policies,



including visitor and patient protocols, are followed. Address any violations in a manner that upholds hospital safety standards Valid Security License for the province of Ontario Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin test English (oral and written) fluency is a must Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
