Rekker Gardens is a family owned and operated company located in Bowmanville, with a total of 20 acres of greenhouses, split between two locations. We have been a trusted retailer and wholesaler of flowers for over 60 years, supplying a wide variety of quality bedding plants, hanging baskets and planters to customers throughout Ontario. We are a company that values "Team Work", and we are grateful for all of our hard-working staff!

Job Summary

We are looking for a Fulltime/Seasonal worker to perform general greenhouse duties within our Wholesale Dept., including cuttings/planting/shipping of product within each Shipping Season (Spring/Fall/Christmas). Typical yearly work schedule being January - early June, mid August to early October, and early November to end of December, with hours varying depending on the Season.

Responsibilities:

- Taking and/or sticking unrooted cuttings
- Planting product, (involving line work)
- Picking orders during shipping season
- Moving/Spacing/Sorting product as required

Requirements:





- Physically fit: must be able to be on your feet all day, and work with your hands
- Be able to work in a hot, fast paced environment
- Ability to follow instructions, take initiative, and solve problems
- Ability to work well alongside 8+ people
- Must be a team player -Willingness and ability to learn

- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Self motivated and energetic
- Willingness to work overtime hours, holidays and Saturdays if needed through the busy time of April/May
- Transportation: reliable, personal transportation to and from the workplace (there is no public transportation available)

Note: We will not be contacting potential candidates prior to Nov. 4th.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
