Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Support Workers to provide exceptional in-home care services in the Richmond area. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about assisting others, especially seniors and individuals with disabilities, to maintain their independence and quality of life. The position involves a variety of caregiving duties, including personal care, medication management, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.

Candidates with assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or dementia care experience are highly encouraged to apply. This is a paid position committed to supporting both clients and caregivers in delivering compassionate care.

Responsibilities

- Provide medication administration following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a secure and comfortable environment
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members




- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and client progress
- Follow all safety procedures and infection control protocols to ensure client safety

Experience

- Assisted living or senior care experience preferred
- Background in patient care, nursing home, hospice, or dementia care highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs beneficial
- Prior home care or caregiving experience required
- Skills in medication administration, meal preparation, and light cleaning are advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when necessary
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation purposes
