We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating operations. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing information about the restaurant and wait times
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Assist guests with special requests or accommodations as needed
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction
- Support the team during peak hours to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is preferred
- Strong communication skills and excellent customer service orientation
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant settings is advantageous
- Hospitality or hotel experience is a bonus but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
