Overview

We are seeking a skilled Handyman specializing in touch-up work, drywall repair, and painting to ensure the hotel’s facilities maintain a high standard of quality and safety. This role requires a proactive individual with strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance knowledge, capable of supervising maintenance tasks and leading small teams when necessary. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals to perform various repair and maintenance duties efficiently.

MUST have experience and quality finishing with drywall and painting.

Duties

- Perform touch-up painting, drywall repairs, and surface refinishing to maintain the aesthetic appeal of hotel rooms and public areas
- Power washing of entrances and deep cleaning.
- Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards
- Repair or replace damaged drywall, paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as required
- Assist with electrical repairs, including troubleshooting electrical issues using schematics and electrical experience
- Perform welding, mechanical repairs, and basic carpentry as needed for facility upkeep
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting safety inspections regularly




- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests promptly and professionally

Requirements

- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, building repair, or related fields with a focus on drywall, painting, and general handyman tasks
- Supervising experience is preferred for overseeing maintenance projects or teams
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in welding, electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Experience with CMMS software for work order management is desirable
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and guests effectively
- Knowledge of manufacturing or large-scale facilities maintenance is a plus
- Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise staff while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities efficiently

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
