THE PRACTICE
Mike Murphy Law Group has been serving Maritimers for over thirty-five years, building a reputation for responsiveness and genuine care for clients across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia . Our team of associates, paralegals, and administrative staff is committed to returning calls, emails, and inquiries within the day . While our roots are deep in personal injury and litigation, we are expanding our services to support clients navigating Canadian immigration processes—and we need someone who can bring order to a complex, document-heavy area of law.
THE OPENING
We are looking for an Immigration Coordinator to support our lawyers with the preparation and submission of immigration applications. This is a role for someone who thrives on detail, understands that a missing document can delay a family's future, and takes pride in keeping a file moving from intake to approval. You will work directly with lawyers and clients, and you will be the person who ensures nothing slips through the cracks.
The position is hybrid, balancing office presence in Moncton with remote document work.

- Coordinate authentication, legalization, and translation of documents where required
- Maintain organized digital files and track case progress against deadlines
Application Preparation

- Prepare application forms and compile complete packages for submission
- Ensure all work meets established service standards and timelines
Client Communication
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding document requirements and application status
- Provide clear, patient explanations of process steps while referring legal questions to the overseeing lawyer
- Maintain accurate records of all client correspondence in our internal systems
Administrative Support
- Assist with billing preparation once files are complete
- Perform general administrative duties including filing, scanning, and courier coordination
- Support process improvements as the immigration practice grows
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Previous experience in a legal administrative, paralegal, or immigration coordination role is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right person
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities in English; French is a robust asset given our client base
- Comfort with document management systems and Google Workspace
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines independently
- A calm, professional demeanor when clients are anxious about their applications
- Authorization to work in Canada
WHAT WE OFFER
- Hybrid work model with flexibility for remote document work
- Competitive compensation based on experience
- Health and dental benefits
- A supportive team culture with mentorship from experienced lawyers
- The chance to grow with a firm that is expanding its immigration practice
