POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our team. This role involves helping customers choose products, preparing accurate quotes and orders, and actively following up to generate repeat business. The successful candidate will engage current and past customers and contribute to overall sales growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Welcome walk-in customers and respond to inquiries by phone and email.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable signage and traffic safety products.
- Prepare accurate sales orders, confirming product specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery requirements.
- Prepare quotations and follow up on outstanding quotes to secure orders.
- Proactively contact past and existing customers to generate repeat business and identify new sales opportunities.
- Coordinate with production and other team members to communicate order requirements and keep customers informed.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and follow-up tasks in the company’s ordering system.
- Work toward agreed sales and customer service targets.
- Balance incoming customer inquiries, order preparation, and scheduled sales follow-up.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, or an order desk role, with demonstrated success following up with customers and generating repeat business.
- Strong attention to detail when preparing orders and confirming customer requirements.
- Confidence making outbound customer calls and asking for the sale.
- Comfort using email,



business software, and computerized ordering systems.
- Ability to learn product specifications and explain options clearly.
- Strong customer service skills, with clear written and spoken English for customer conversations, correspondence, and accurate order preparation.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Self-motivated with a robust work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

ASSETS

- Sign industry experience is an asset, but not required. Product training is provided.
- Experience serving business customers in industrial supplies, building materials, or a related industry.
- Ability to interpret dimensions, layouts, or sign specifications.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

- Annual base salary of $40,000 – $45,000, depending on experience, with eligibility to earn commission beginning after 90 days of employment.
- Medical benefits after 90 days.
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break; 42.5 paid hours per week.
