Responsible Gambling Council
Toronto
Instructional Designer/eLearning Developer
Based out of Toronto
Full-time, 1-Year Contract
Prospect Overview The Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to problem gambling prevention. For more than 40 years, we have worked to reduce gambling risk by creating and delivering innovative awareness and information programs in Ontario and around the world. We work with priority populations, including youth, young adults, ethnocultural populations, and the public, to educate people on the risks of gambling, how to mitigate those risks, and how to access support.
We work with industry, regulators and government to promote the adoption of improved play safeguards through best practices research, knowledge mobilization, standards development, and the RG Check accreditation program.
RGC manages and operates OLG’s PlaySmart Centres located at casinos and Charitable Bingo and Gaming centres across Ontario. In the Centres, players can take a break from gambling and learn more about how the games work through interactive game kiosks, videos and literature. Players and those affected by gambling can chat with professionally trained PlaySmart Centre staff, learn answers to gambling questions and get connected with counselling and support professionals if they are experiencing problems with gambling.
RGC is seeking an Instructional Designer / eLearning Developer to join the PSC Learning & Development team on a contract basis. This role is a critical addition to a growing function that supports PlaySmart Advisor training, onboarding, professional development, and skill-based learning across a province-wide program.
The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in adult learning principles, eLearning authoring, and blended learning design, and will hit the ground running. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a mission-driven environment and takes pride in producing polished, learner-centered content.
This is a hybrid full-time contract position based out of RGC’s Toronto office. The successful candidate will work closely with the Manager, Learning & Development and collaborate regularly with internal SMEs, program staff, and occasionally external vendors. Comfort with iterative feedback cycles and managing multiple deliverables simultaneously is essential.
RGC is a mission-driven organization, and we welcome candidates who bring genuine interest in responsible gambling education, harm reduction, and public health contexts.
