We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and client-focused Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our Home and Community Care team.

Position Summary

The Personal Support Worker provides personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to clients in their homes and community settings. The successful candidate will support clients in maintaining their independence, dignity, safety, and overall well-being while following individualized care plans and CareKW policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene.

- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation using appropriate equipment and safe techniques.

- Support clients with activities of daily living while encouraging independence and respecting individual preferences.

- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, as required.

- Provide companionship and emotional support while promoting social engagement and well-being.





- Observe and report changes in clients’ physical, emotional, or cognitive conditions to the appropriate supervisor.

- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and report incidents, concerns, or safety risks promptly.

- Follow infection prevention and control practices, safe lifting procedures, and applicable health and safety requirements.

- Respect client confidentiality, privacy, dignity, and individual rights at all times.

- Communicate professionally with clients, families, colleagues, and other members of the care team.

- Perform other duties within the scope of the PSW role, as assigned.

Compensation

Pay Range: $21.66 per hour.
