The School of Health and Wellness at Red Deer Polytechnic is currently inviting applications for a Part-time instructor position for KPAC 1255C - Yoga for Beginners in the Kinesiology and Sports Studies Program commencing December 16, 2026. For faculty members, the Kinesiology and Sports Studies program provides exceptional opportunities to work closely with students, faculty and staff in an innovative, supportive environment that promotes creativity, scholarship and commitment to student success.RDP offers an excellent professional development program that helps faculty to continuously develop skills, knowledge and expertise specific to teaching and learning as well as their respective discipline. The focus of this position will be instructing the KPAC 1255C - Yoga for Beginners for Winter 12/16/2026 - 04/30/2027 on Tuesday and Thursday at 12:30pm - 1:50pm.

Teaching students in classroom and/or lab settings with flexibility for both face to face and online course delivery. Preparing, reviewing and/or updating course material. Upholding the Skilled Responsibilities of Faculty at RDP which are described within the Faculty Performance Policy.





Demonstrating and promoting RDP organizational values and following Policies and practices. Master's degree preferably in Kinesiology, Physical Education, or Recreation. Yoga teacher training is considered an asset.

Excellent communication, public relations and interpersonal skills. Passion for teaching, ability to inspire students, and commitment to student learning and success. Additional experience and education in the field.

Experience teaching in a post-secondary environment.
