Started in December, 2020, Sushi Azuki is a takeout-only Japanese restaurant. We quickly established ourselves as a premier sushi takeout establishment in the city of Hamilton. We’re eager to expand our team and hire our next kitchen assistant/cashier to join our team as at our Locke Street location. If you have previous experience in working in a Japanese restaurant, we will consider higher pay for you.

Requirements

- Able to stand for extended period of hours
- Able to lift at least 15 kg/40 lbs
- Preferred if you have obtained and currently maintains your own Food Handler Certificate
- Preferred if you have conversational skills in the Korean language, but not required
- Shift schedule: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 11AM to 8:30 PM // Thursday and Friday: 11AM to 4PM

Expected Duties
- Able to manage many customers’ orders at the same time.
- Take in customers orders made in-person, by phone, or through our online ordering platform (Square).




- Organize order intake schedules to prevent overwhelming our sushi chefs and to prevent delay in serving our customers’ orders.
- Quality assurance check to ensure all customers’ orders were prepared and served with 100% accuracy.
- Answering menu-related questions from customers (we will teach you about our menu items).
- Carry out cleaning tasks around the premises
- Prepare various menu items to be used before and during service hours
- Assist chefs as required, especially during peak hours
- Other duties as requested.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
