The position involves providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall operations of the dental office.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing to maintain optimal oral health for patients.
- Take dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies.
- Assist in the management of patient records using Cleardent.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth workflow during patient visits.
- Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment.
- Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Requirements
- Valid BCCOHP registration as a Licensed Dental Hygienist.
- Minimum one year experience in a private dental clinic.
- Experience with Cleardent is an asset.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $58.00-$65.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
