The City of Delta is seeking enthusiastic and safety focused individuals to join the team at Winskill Aquatic & Fitness Centre as a Lifeguard/Instructor. Lifeguard/Instructors educate on pool rules; perform minor maintenance tasks; provide first aid treatment; lead instructional and recreational aquatic programs for all age ranges and to provide information to the public regarding swimmer progress and instructional evaluation techniques Working knowledge of teaching methods and group leadership techniques emphasizing instruction in water safety and aquatic skills. Working knowledge of pool chemistry, of water filtration, chlorination, heating and related pool equipment and procedures.

Ability to display sound aquatic skills and to instruct in these skills at standards set by relevant authorities.

National Lifeguard

Award – Pool Option (NL) Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor certification Completion of Grade 10 and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience is an asset. The City of Delta provides a competitive salary of $27.04 - $31.66 per hour (2024 rates) + 12% in lieu of vacation, public holidays and advantages. November 15,

• Fitness Centre. November 30, 2026 - Lifeguard/Instructor Wet/Dry Interview - Applicants must be available to attend this session. 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at Winskill Aquatic &

• Fitness Centre. Register for ongoing training, such as the Next Wave – Aquatic Leadership &

• Development Program, Lifesaving Instructor Certification, Aquafit Certification, and other trainer certifications.
