Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Eagle Press & Equipment. This role will focus on ensuring effective and efficient operations of all plant equipment by maintaining all equipment to a quality performance level through regular preventive and predictive maintenance procedures. This position is responsible for the maintenance, and/or repair, of a variety of physical plant and specialized equipment.
We are open to offering a full time, part time or on-call basis opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Detect, troubleshoot and analyze equipment irregularities and malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
- Completing daily crane inspections, plant equipment inspections and maintenance including the shop air supply room (changing filters).
- Performing quality checks and completing the proper documentation required and checklists.
- Identifying and participating in preventive maintenance & maintain safety requirements (daily, weekly, monthly as applicable
- Provide suggestions for continuous improvement activities (process, quality, safety)
- Installs new equipment.
- Work independently while communicating within a team environment.
- Adjust machinery and equipment processes as required.
- Implement long term corrective actions to machine issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime during repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed and equipment status.
- Ability to drive a forklift to perform maintenance duties.
- Ability to drive a scissor lift / genie boom to perform maintenance duties.
- Perform any other duties, as required.
Educational Requirements
- Completion of high school
- Completion of college technical training or apprenticeship an asset (Millwright)
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or as a maintenance technician.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Basic electrical skills, including low voltage systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Safety Conscious / considers safety in all aspects of work.
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be comfortable working at heights
