RESTAURANT DIRECTOR / GENERAL MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands-on Restaurant Director / General Manager to lead our team, oversee daily operations, and drive the continued success of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

● Lead, motivate, and inspire a high-performing restaurant team.

● Recruit, train, coach, and develop employees and management staff.

● Build a positive, professional, and results-driven workplace culture.

● Establish clear expectations and maintain accountability across all departments.

● Promote teamwork, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.

Restaurant Operations

● Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency.

● Maintain exceptional standards of service, hospitality, and guest satisfaction.

● Be actively involved on the restaurant floor, particularly during peak periods.

● Oversee scheduling, reservations, staffing levels, and service execution.

● Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and operational standards.

● Identify and implement improvements to enhance overall restaurant performance.

Financial Management & Business Growth

● Manage labour costs, operating expenses, and overall profitability.





● Monitor sales performance, budgets, and key performance indicators.

● Oversee inventory management, purchasing, and cost controls.

● Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve efficiency.

● Develop and implement strategies to achieve financial and operational objectives.

● Collaborate directly with ownership on business development and growth initiatives.

Guest Experience & Brand Standards

● Ensure every guest receives an outstanding dining experience.

● Build strong relationships with guests and encourage repeat business.

● Address guest concerns professionally and effectively.

● Maintain the restaurant’s atmosphere, reputation, and service standards.

● Continuously seek creative ways to elevate the overall guest experience.

Qualifications & Experience

● Minimum 5 years of management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.

● Previous experience as a General Manager, Restaurant Director, or Senior Restaurant Manager preferred.

● Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop successful teams.

● Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, financial management, and cost control.

● Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.





● Robust decision-making abilities and the confidence to take initiative.

● Hands-on leadership approach with a commitment to operational excellence.

● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

● Qualified appearance and strong interpersonal skills.

● Availability to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

● Proficiency in French and English is an asset.
