Overview

Prowind is an international renewable energy development company with operations in Canada, Germany and the United States. We develop wind and solar energy projects, working closely with landowners, communities, Indigenous partners, utilities and investors.

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Managing Director to lead our Canadian operations, strengthen our organization and guide the continued growth of our renewable energy business.

The Opportunity The Managing Director will assume full operational responsibility for Prowind Canada, working in close collaboration with our management team in Germany.

This position combines organizational leadership, strategic business development, financial oversight and external relationship-building.

We are looking for a practical, commercially minded leader who enjoys working in a smaller, entrepreneurial organization, takes ownership of decisions and is comfortable being directly involved in advancing the business.

The Managing Director will be supported by experienced renewable energy development professionals responsible for the technical and day-to-day advancement of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Operations

- Lead, motivate and develop the Canadian team, fostering a collaborative and accountable working environment.
- Establish clear priorities, responsibilities and performance expectations.
- Take ownership of operational decisions, resource allocation and organizational effectiveness.

Business Development and Strategic Growth

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities,



partnerships and development initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with municipalities, Indigenous communities, landowners, investors, utilities and industry partners.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand Prowind's Canadian project portfolio.

Financial and Commercial Management

- Oversee business planning, operating budgets, financial performance and commercial decisions.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, project economics and business risks.
- Ensure responsible financial management and effective use of company resources.

Project Portfolio Oversight

- Provide strategic direction and management oversight for wind and solar development projects.
- Work closely with development professionals to establish priorities, resolve challenges and advance projects.
- Ensure projects align with the company's financial and strategic objectives.

International Collaboration

- Work closely with Prowind's German management team to align strategy, investments and operational priorities.
- Maintain transparent communication and effective coordination across the international organization.

Qualifications and Experience We are looking for someone who brings:

- Proven leadership experience managing teams,



business operations or a business unit.
- Strong commercial judgment, financial understanding and strategic thinking.
- Demonstrated success in business development, negotiations and building long-term professional relationships.
- The ability to make sound decisions, manage competing priorities and take responsibility for results.
- An entrepreneurial, hands-on management style suited to a growing organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, engineering or another project-based industry is preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills; German language proficiency is a strong asset but not required.

Extensive technical wind or solar development experience is not essential. We place greater importance on proven leadership, business judgment and the ability to guide an experienced team. What We Offer

Pay: $180,000.00-$200,000.00 per year

Education

- Master's Degree (preferred)
