Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter/Butcher to join our team. This role involves preparing, cutting, and packaging high-quality meats for our customers while ensuring food safety and adhering to industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery and food preparation, with a strong focus on customer service and food handling.

Responsibilities

- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meats according to customer specifications and company standards
- Ensure all meat products are properly packaged, labeled, and stored following food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment in compliance with health standards
- Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about cuts of meat, and provide excellent customer service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure product quality
- Operate slicing machines, grinders,



and other butchery equipment safely and efficiently
- Manage inventory levels, restock displays, and rotate stock as needed
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment at all times

Qualifications

- Prior experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or meat cutting, is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and proper meat handling procedures
- Ability to operate knives and butchery equipment safely and accurately
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Good communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration
- Experience with packaging meats for retail sale is a plus
- Kitchen experience or background in food handling enhances suitability for this role
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety

Pay: $17.95-$22.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
