Full-Time Meat & Seafood Clerk

As a Full time Meat & Seafood Clerk, you will help provide customers with fresh, high-quality products and friendly service. You will work as part of the Meat & Seafood team to prepare, package, stock, rotate, and display products while maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and accurate pricing.

Key Responsibilities: Provide friendly customer service and help customers with questions about meat and seafood products.

Prepare and package meat and seafood products, including basic cutting, wrapping, weighing, and labelling.

Fill and maintain meat and seafood displays, keeping products fresh, well presented, and properly rotated.

Check products regularly and remove expired or poor-quality items.

Ensure prices, product labels, expiry dates, and signage are accurate and up to date.

Follow FIFO rotation, food safety, sanitation, and safe-handling procedures.

Maintain clean and organized work areas, coolers, freezers, displays, and equipment.

Assist with planogram, display, promotional, and seasonal changes.





Use and clean department equipment safely according to training and established procedures.

Answer customer questions, take orders at the service counter, answer the phone, and communicate with other departments as needed.

Follow all company safety procedures and applicable requirements for operating department equipment.

Skills &

Qualifications: Friendly and customer-focused with good communication skills.

Able to work effectively as part of a team.

Good organization, time-management, and basic math skills.

Able to follow food safety, product rotation, and handling procedures.

Willing to learn about meat and seafood products, equipment, scales, labelling, and inventory.

Able to read and follow planograms and product displays.

Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties including bending, kneeling, climbing, and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.

Able to lift more than 25 lbs.

Comfortable working in areas with frequent temperature changes.

Must be 16 years of age or older.
