Join Finite as a Mechanical Systems Designer focusing on innovative robotic systems, from prototypes to field-ready applications. Collaborate on customized arms and end-effectors while working in a hybrid environment. In this permanent role with a hybrid work setup, you will be integral to the mechanical design process, ensuring effective implementation and testing of system components.

With 5+ years of experience, you will oversee project timelines, costs, and risks while developing designs for robotic arms and material handling systems. Expect to work in office in Kitchener-Waterloo and travel occasionally to our Simcoe orchard for in-field testing. Key Responsibilities:

- Design and prototype robotic systems including end-effectors
- Manage project scope, timelines, and cost estimates




- Collaborate on component integration with the technical team
- Prepare necessary design documentation and BOMs
- Assist with testing and assembly in lab and field conditions

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience
- Proficient in CAD for part modeling and analysis
- Hands-on prototype assembly and testing experience
- Strong relationship management with contractors
